Audio-Technica AT-LP120-USB Direct-DriveAudio Technica AT-LP 120 is a professional direct-drive turntable designed not only for day-to-day playing but for experienced DJs of any style. This vinyl record player will help you to convert all vinyl record sets to digital files.
It comes with many advanced features, such as the 3 speed options (33-1/3, 45 and 78 RPM), fully manual running and high-torque, direct-drive DC motor. This type of motor is most often used by DJs.
The S-shaped tonearm made of metal goes in sync with a counterweight, a tonearm locking tool, lift control and anti-skate tune-up.
The AT-LP 120 comes with a cast aluminum platter, a felt slip mat that can be replaced, a high-quality cartridge, standard headshells, stylus, forward and reverse play options and a start/stop button.
Other features include a pitch lock, pitch slider control and a plastic dust cover that may be removed without any problem.
You may find the pitch control slider very useful to control a tempo and pitch of your old vinyl records. By pressing a pitch button, you can simply choose a pitch from +/- 10% to +/-20%.
This Audio-Technica deck offers a direct contact with classic stereo receivers with line-level RCA output cables. This is even more than enough for being able to connect any kind of speakers. But it also has a slight downside. The RCA cables are short and linked inside. Because they are mounted to the deck they can’t be replaced.
A built-in USB output is featured for simple movement of your record music to PC. Also, you can edit your records with Audacity software on PC or Mac.
Performance wise, LP-120 offers cool sound thanks to a nice combo of advanced features.
A cartridge gives a vibrant and full sound. And is ready to play in 3 speed options. But keep in mind that no end 78 RPM record playing may require to switch cartridge more often. Thanks to standard headshell it’s really simple to do.
A high-torque direct-drive DC motor is able to set the desired speed in seconds.
Extra tonearms parts, such as counterweight, a tonearm locking tool, lift control, anti-skate tune-up and well-made felt slip met will help you to get a better performance and rigid sound.
Bear in mind that this good LP-120 is fully manual. It doesn’t have an automatic start/stop button and all the settings should be done by you.
